As people called by God,
We gather to praise God, listen to him, and respond.
We nurture each other in faith and obedience to Christ.
We love and care for one another as God's people.
We commit ourselves to serve and to tell others about Jesus.
We pursue God's justice and peace in every area of life.
The Granum CRC church was established when the first Dutch Christian settlers in the Granum/Nobleford area gathered together for church to worship God in 1905. Our church along with the Nobleford CRC were the first Christian Reformed churches in Canada. The church split into two separate congregations in 1911 due to travel distance. They gathered as believers because they knew that their only comfort, in life and in death, was that they were not their own, but belonged body and soul to their faithful Saviour Jesus Christ. They knew, that outside of Jesus Christ, they could not come before God, the Creator of everything. That foundational truth is still taught faithfully in the Granum Christian Reformed Church every Sunday, in a language everyone can understand. As we sit here today, many of the people who carried the torch for the gospel of Jesus in our community are no longer with us. Their faith has become sight for them. We have been given the responsibility to pass along the sure knowledge that God has reconciled Himself to us in Jesus Christ.
