About the Pastor

Hello, I am Henry Veldboom. I’ve been the pastor at the Granum Christian Reformed Church since September, 2013. Prior to accepting the call to pastor Granum CRC, I attended Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from Calvin in May, 2013 with a Master of Divinity degree. Before going back to school and entering ministry, I was an auto mechanic for almost 20 years.

I and my wife Leanne and our three children come from Southern Ontario. We are excited to be in Granum and part of the Granum CRC. Despite the fact Canada is a wide and diverse country, we feel at home “out West”! It’s a reminder that wherever you go, if you’re part of Christ’s church, you have family everywhere!

I invite you to consider becoming part of Christ’s family and join a Bible-believing Christian church like Granum CRC. God never intended for his people to journey through life alone. The Old Testament of the Bible shows how God journeyed with his people. In the New Testament, God came to earth as Jesus Christ, and he physically walked alongside his followers. Now as part of Christ’s world-wide church, we at Granum CRC seek to walk alongside one another as we live out our Christian lives. God calls us to follow the example of Jesus Christ, whose life is recorded in the Bible.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to his church, and it contains all that we need to know about God and how we are saved for eternity by believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. If you’d like to know more about the Bible and Jesus Christ, come join us on Sundays as we gather to worship God and study his Word.
